Gareth Penrose is the founder of Extratime.com and also a reporter / editor with the site. The site was originally thought up and named in the back of Kennedy’s pub in Drumcondra in early 2007 but it wasn’t until March 2008 that it appeared on the internet. Gareth was previously involved with Shelbourne Football Club where he ran the club website from 2001 to 2006.

Gareth has been reporting with the site for over 13 years and has got to experience all levels of football from the Leinster Senior Cup up to Euro League finals and European Championships.

Gareth is also responsible for coding and designing the site. He’s has a passion for TV shows and computers which you can follow over at his account on twitter @garethpenrose.
