FAI issue Disciplinary Committee decisions

The following suspensions and sanctions were issued by the Disciplinary Committee at their meeting on Wednesday, 30th April 2008. Suspensions are effective as and from Wednesday, 14th May unless otherwise stated. Suspensions are effective at first team level unless otherwise stated.

Bohemians were fined €100 as a result of smoke canisters been discharged v Drogheda United (20.04.08).

Chris Butler (Sligo Rovers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Stuart Byrne (Drogheda United) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League of Ireland match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Bohemians (20.04.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served.

Paul Caffrey (Sporting Fingal) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Wesley Charles (Galway United) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League of Ireland match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Sligo Rovers (19.04.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served.

Albert Clarke (Douglas Hall) suspended for ONE (1) FAI Ford Senior Challenge Cup match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Belgrove (20.04.08). Automatic suspension in next FAI Ford Senior Challenge Cup match as per FIFA directive to be served.

Paul Cook (Manager, Sligo Rovers) suspended for FOUR (4) competitive matches as a result of being removed from the technical area v Galway United (19.04.08). For this four match suspension, Mr Cook is to remain away from the dressing room, technical area and pitch for at least two hours before the matches as well as during the matches and for one hour after the matches and must be seated in the stands.

Clive Delaney (Derry City) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Bray Wanderers (18.04.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served and ONE (1) competitive match as and from Wednesday, 14th May.

Crumlin United were fined €50 for team misconduct (five players carded) v Liffey Pearse (20.04.08).



Drogheda Town were fined €50 for team misconduct (five players carded) v Avondale United (19.04.08).

Drogheda United were fined €100 for team misconduct (five players carded) v Bohemians (20.04.08).

William Duffy (Tullamore) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Everton (20.04.08).

Mark Duggan (Bray Wanderers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Galway United were fined €100 for team misconduct (five players carded) v Sligo Rovers (19.04.08).

Alan Murphy (Shelbourne) suspended for THREE (3) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Sporting Fingal (18.04.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served and TWO (2) competitive matches as and from Wednesday, 14th May.



John O’Brien (St. James’s Gate) suspended for FIVE (5) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Carrick United (19.04.08).

St. James’s Gate were fined €50 for team misconduct (five players carded) v Carrick United (19.04.08).

Shelbourne were fined €50 as a result of a flare been discharged v Sporting Fingal (18.04.08).

Brian Shortall (U.C.D.) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.
