Waterford unveil capture of Harvey Macadam on loan from Fleetwood Town with striker Connor Evans joining from Crewe Alexandra

Keith Long’s Waterford have unveiled the signing of Harvey Macadam on loan from Fleetwood Town - with Connor Evans joining from Crewe Alexandra.

Midfielder Macadam joins the Blues having spent just under two years with Fleetwood - and has made over 40 appearances across various competitions. 

And he said: “I’m looking forward to it. Living in a different country in a different league. 

“Obviously I’ve heard lots about the League of Ireland with the attendances going through the roof and the really high standard. I’ve spoke to Barry [Baggley] and Ronan [Coughlan] about the league and they’ve spoken really highly of it”

“I think it’s a good move; I’m looking forward to getting some games under my belt. I think it’s a good move for all parties.”

Meanwhile, Connor Evans joins from League Two side Crewe Alexandra.

The highly-rated striker joins the Blues having spent three seasons at Crewe, where he also spent time on loan in the National League with Marine, Nantwich Town and Chester FC. 

The 20-year-old also has international experience, being capped with Wales at under-18 level in 2021 against England.
