Will Jarvis returns to Shelbourne on loan for the 2024 season

The Hull City forward has agreed to a second stint at Tolka Park following a successful first spell.

The 21-year-old joined The Reds on loan as part of their joint ownership with the English Championship outfit, becoming a fan favourite amongst Shelbourne fans.

Jarvis played 12 times for the Reds, signing in June for the second half of the Premier Division season.

He scored three goals, one of which was an equaliser on the final day of the season against Drogheda United, crucial in securing European football for Shelbourne for the first time since 2006.

“I had a great experience at Shels last season so I was really delighted to get the chance to come back,” said Jarvis when speaking to the Shelbourne media team.

“The club helped me grow and develop last season and I am really excited to kick on again this season.

“It’s a very ambitious group and I’ve loved playing at Tolka, the fans create an amazing atmosphere, when I heard Shels wanted me back, it was a no brainer for me.”

Manager Damien Duff on the signing of the Englishman stated, “It’s amazing news that Will is coming back, even better that he wants to come.

“His impact on the team was there for everyone to see, he is a special player.

“We look forward to working with Will again and helping him grow on and off the pitch. Thank you to Hull also for making it happen. The partnership might have ended but the relationship remains strong.”

Earlier in the week Shelbourne Women’s were also active in the transfer market with Republic of Ireland international Roma McLaughlin signing for the club ahead of the new season.
