Lawrence Vigouroux, former Waterford FC goalkeeper, is set to join Burnley after signing a three-year deal with the club. The contract will see the 29-year-old stay with the Clarets until at least 2026.

Vigouroux, expressing his excitement over the move, said, “It’s amazing to be here! An unbelievable training ground to be a part of and I’m really happy! This was the right step and the right way to go. Hopefully I can leave an impression here.”

Born in Camden, Vigouroux began his youth career at Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur. He moved to Liverpool in 2014, then went on to play nearly 100 matches for Swindon Town.

In 2020, he shifted to Leyton Orient, where he earned the Player of the Year award for three consecutive seasons.

Burnley manager, Vincent Kompany, commented on the new signing, stating, “We are looking forward to Lawrence being part of what we are building here at Burnley. He has come through top academy systems to become the player he is today with stand out performances in recent years. He is a very talented goalkeeper with a good personality and someone we will enjoy working with.”

In February 2018, Vigouroux joined Waterford FC on loan. He made his debut by keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over St Patrick's Athletic. He proceeded to feature in the next 19 games for the Blues before the end of his loan deal in June.
