Ex-Wolves and Shelbourne midfielder Daniel McKenna joins Athlone Town

Former Wolves and Shelbourne midfielder Daniel McKenna has joined First Division side Athlone Town.
McKenna joins forces with the Blue and Black of the Midlands after a recent stint at Shelbourne in the Premier Division.
He however struggled to make an imprint in the Shels side of 2020 – and he eventually left the club in September.
He appeared once on the bench for the Reds in 2020 – during their 1-0 win at home against St Patrick’s Athletic in February at Tolka Park.
In February 2018, Daniel moved to Bray on a six-month loan deal from his parent club, Wolves, but he would leave by July 2018.
He then returned back to England but then left again to return home and sign permanently for Shelbourne in January 2019.
