Pat Devlin’s Bray Wanderers travel to Hunky Dorys Park to face Drogheda United in what is generally one of the most entertaining fixtures in the league. Kick-off Sunday 3pm

DROGHEDA UNITED

Drogheda will be confident of taking their first three points of the season when Bray come to Hunky Dorys Park. The Boynesiders have only lost once in their last seven competitive games.

Drogheda have recorded back-to-back draws and both times they have had to come from behind to salvage the point. However, the managed to restrict Derry City to a single goal, the game previous to that saw Derry put six past UCD. Gabriel Sava put in a MOTM performance to keep Drogheda in touch before David Cassidy leveled the game with 10 minutes to go.

Mick Cooke’s injury woes continue as David Cassidy and Michael Daly have been added to an ever growing list which already inclues Alan McNally, Derek Prendergast and Gary O’Neill.

The Drogheda manager is looking forward to the game however, “The lads showed a lot of fight to get back into the game against Derry, we dominated the last 30 minutes and we are showing the resilience we had last year. I'm looking forward to the game against Bray, they are a well organised side but we always manage to produce entertaining games. We both like to play free flowing football and I think we put on a good show for the fans. ”

BRAY WANDERERS

The Seagulls will have the advantage of a longer rest over Drogheda as their last competitive game was Friday March 16th and on that night they were on the wrong end of a 3-0 result away to Sligo Rovers.

Speaking ahead of the game Bray's Director of Football Pat Devlin said he was very pleased with his sides second half performance in Sligo and was looking for something similar for 90 minutes on Sunday. Devlin said "We know it will be tough it's always a tough game against Drogheda and we are looking forward to it".

However, Pat Devlin’s side sit above Drogheda in the table due to their opening night win against Shelbourne. Their only injury worries are that of Adam Mitchell and Shane O’Connor who are both suffering with knee and hamstring problems respectively.

Last season for Bray was a poor one, but if they are to improve on it they will need to try and get something from these types of games. Drogheda manager Mick Cooke spoke about the threat posed by Gary Dempsey and in particular Kieran Marty Waters, “Anytime I've gone to see Bray, watching him (KMW) alone is worth the entrance fee, he's an exciting talent.”
