Following Richard Dunne’s injury in Aston Villa’s game against Manchester City on Sunday, The Football Association of Ireland have moved swiftly to add Everton defender Shane Duffy to the squad for the upcoming 'Three International Friendly' on February 29 in the Aviva Stadium.

Duffy will join up with the Senior squad having previously joined the first team for a Training Camp in 2010 while Dunne will be sidelined for at least a month with a fractured clavicle, suffered during Villa's 1-0 defeat yesterday afternoon.

Shane will join up with the squad for training on February 26. The county Derry native has shown great promise at the heart of the Everton back line in recent weeks having recently broke into the first team.
