Bray Wanderers vs Sligo Rovers

Bray Wanderers welcome Sligo Rovers to the Carlisle Grounds on Friday night hoping that they can stop a run of poor form that has seen them earn four points out of a possible 24. (kick off 19:45).

Eddie Gormley will have to plan without striker Ger Rowe, as he will be serving a one match ban having reached four penalty points. Aidan O’Keefe is the only concern having picked up an ankle injury in the win over Cobh Ramblers two weeks ago. He will undergo a late fitness test but he is expected to pass and take Rowe place in the starting line-up.

Speaking to www.braywanderers.ie Manager Eddie Gormley said "Although we didn't get anything out of the game last week some of our play was very good." He added "We had a battle on our hands once we gave away the early goal but we played some good football and created a few chances. We now need to convert the chances; we are just not clinical enough up front".

Sligo Rovers are coming into this match on the back of two 1-0 defeats to Shamrock Rovers and Cork City. Paul Cook has had to play with a very weakened squad over the last few weeks and there is no change this week.

Gavin Peers and Rafael Cretaro are both missing the game through suspension. Yet again Steve Feeney (hamstring) and Matthew Judge (broken cheek bone) are both injured. However Paul McTiernan is back in the squad having missed last week’s game due to an injury picked up in an A team game.

The bookies are favouring Bray Wanderers in this one with odds of 11-8. The odds for a draw are 21-10 whilst a Sligo win is 17-10. The Extratime prediction for this game is Sligo 2 – 1 Bray Wanderers.

Kick-off is at 19:45.
