It will be the clash of the Rovers in the Showgrounds on Saturday night as Shamrock Rovers visit Sligo Rovers. (kick off 20:00).

Sligo Rovers will hope to extend their run of league wins to three however Paul Cook will have to plan without the services of Sean Doherty, who will need at least two more weeks to recover from knee surgery. Sean Feeney also misses out due to a hamstring injury and Conor O’Grady is suspended having received four yellow cards. Gary Curran, however, returns to the side having missed out on the one nil away win over rivals Finn Harps.

Pat Scully will be looking to get Rovers season back on track after a less than favourable season to date. With one point from twelve, and a last league win dating back to March 29th against bottom of the table, Galway United, Scully will be looking rediscover some form but he realises Sligo will be tough to beat.

"It's a hard place to go to. We got turned over there last year and that ended a very good run we were on. They're a big, strong team and we know that we're going to have to battle up there".

"Concentration is really important in a game such as this. We need everyone from one to eleven to work really hard on what's probably the worst pitch in the Premier Division".

"It's also important that people don't lose their sense of self-belief after recent results. We need to knuckle down rather than accept things and hopefully we go and get the result we want in Sligo."

Rovers will be without Chris Mulhall, who remains out with a cartilage injury. Darren Stapleton and John Martin are out with thigh and hip problems respectively. Baryy Murphy, Ger O’Brien and Tadhg Purcell are slight doubts.

Kick off in the Showgrounds is 8:00pm.
