The first semi-final of this season’s Champions League will be between PSG and Borussia Dortmund.

Paris Saint-Germain beat Barcelona 4-1 in their quarter-final second leg in the Estadi Olímpic to win the tie 6-4 on aggregate.

Raphinha scored in the 12th minute to put Barca 4-2 up in the tie. However, a red card for Ronald Araujo turned the tie as PSG scored four unanswered goals through Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha and a brace from Kylian Mbappe.

In the other quarter-final, Borussia Dortmund defeated Atletico Madrid in a remarkable match. Having lost the first leg 2-1, the German side overturned that loss to win the second leg 4-2 and the tie 5-4.

Goals from Julian Brandt and Ian Maatsen had them 2-0 up on the night at half-time and with a 3-2 aggregate lead before Mats Hummels put through his own net and a goal from Angel Correa saw Atleti in the ascendancy.

However, two goals in four minutes saw the home side stage a remarkable comeback. Niclas Fullkrug scored in the 71st minute off a Marcel Sabitzer assist, with Sabitzer getting what proved to be the winner shortly after.
