Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers played out a scoreless draw on Saturday in Tolka Park.

Former Rovers player Jess Gargan conceded a first half penalty with a handball but Hoops skipper Áine O'Gorman's spotkick was saved by Shels netminder Amanda McQuillan.

Rovers remain with four draws from their four league games to date.

Shels sit in third six points off league leaders Galway United.
