LSL Senior Sunday round-up: Home Farm breathe new life into survival push as Lucan United remain top

Rob Manley’s brace helped secure a valuable win for Home Farm against LIffey Wanderers in their bid to secure top-flight safety.

John Hand’s side only twice this season before their victory over the Ringsend outfit, but their third has arrived at a pivotal time.

Manley’s brace set them on their way, with Dean McNevin and Kevin Platon also on target for the Whitehall side.

Conor Riddick scored what proved to be a consolation for Liffeys.

Farm are now 11th in the table, while Wanderers are last.

Meanwhile, Lucan United’s chase for the league title continued unabated with a comfortable 2-0 win over Kilbarrack United.

Keith Baker’s side have now moved four points clear at the summit.

Duo Mark Byrne - formerly of Shelbourne and Bray Wanderers - and Anthony Kavanagh both netted for the leaders against Kilbarrack.

Elsewhere, surprise package St Francis have maintained their strong campaign following their promotion to the top-flight last season.

The John Hyland Park men edged past Crumlin United with a late winner from Jack O’Connor to secure a 1-0 win.

The Saints are now third in the table and sit just five points behind Lucan. They have, however, played a game more than the leaders.

Maynooth University Town also claimed a scintillating 4-1 win over Malahide United.

Paddy O’Sullivan’s brace set Shane Harte’s men on their way, while Charles Mutawe and John Tracey were also on target.

Kevin Healy scored the consolation for Malahide.

Bluebell United however secured a 2-1 win over Tolka Rovers.

The Bell found the net twice via Joshua Ojelabi and Josh Doyle, while Glen McAuley scored direct from a corner for Tolka.
