Success Edogun was the star of the show on the opening night for Finn Harps as the Co Donegal men came from behind to defeat Longford Town.

The Red and Black - backed by a crowd of 1,607 at Bishopsgate - raced into an early 2-0 lead after just 13 minutes.

New recruit Chris Lyons netted both goals - with one being a goalmouth scramble and the other being a long-range daisy cutter.

But Harps fought their way back into the game and pounced on the hosts inability to press home their advantage.

Edogun reduced the arrears on the half hour mark when he danced around the Town defence to score past Jack Brady.

And despite the best efforts of Brady to keep his side ahead, Jamie Watson levelled matters with a thunderous strike from distance in the 67th minute.

Both teams had chances to win the game as it neared its conclusion - but Harps were the ones who did it as Mark Mbuli headed home in injury time.
