The FIFA World Cup final in 2026 will be held in New York New Jersey, with Mexico City set to host the opening match of the tournament.

FIFA has revealed the full match schedule for the FIFA World Cup 26, with the final to be held in New York New Jersey on Sunday, 19 July 2026.

The opening match, which will feature one of the three tournament hosts Mexico, is scheduled to be played at the iconic Estadio Azteca Mexico City on Thursday, 11 June 2026. This will be a record third time that the venue will host the opening game of the World Cup.

Like Mexico, the national teams of Canada and the United States will each play their three group-stage matches on home soil.

Canada will kick off their campaign in Toronto on Friday, 12 June 2026, while the United States will begin their journey on the same day in Los Angeles.

This is the first time that Canada will host a men’s World Cup having hosted the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015.

Miami is set to host the bronze final, while Dallas and Atlanta will stage the semi-finals.

The schedule for the tournament can be reviewed on FIFA.com and FIFA+ with the full match scheduled available here.
