Celtic have completed the loan signing of Republic of Ireland international Adam Idah from Norwich City for the remainder of the season.

The 22-year-old forward has made 115 appearances for Noriwch, scoring 17 goals, seven of which came in this season.

Idah, who began his football journey at College Corinthians as a schoolboy, signed his first professional contract with Norwich in July 2019.

His performance at the club level has also translated to international success, where he has been capped 22 times for the Republic of Ireland, scoring three goals.

In an interview with Celtic TV, Idah expressed his excitement about joining Celtic.

“It’s such a huge club with such a big history behind it and I can’t even put into words what it’s like to be at Celtic, " he said.

"My family and my friends are all delighted that I’m here and I just can’t wait to get started. All of us back home support Celtic so it’s huge for me and I’m so excited to be here.”

Idah outlined his ambitions with Celtic, stating, "I want to play games, I want to help this team and the aim for me is to win those two trophies and I want to score a lot of goals for this club."

As one Irish International arrives on loan at Celtic, another departs. Winger Mikey Johnson has joined West Brom on loan for the rest of the season.
