Athlone Town reveal pre-season schedule

Athlone Town have revealed some of their pre-season plans with a number of friendlies lined up for the new year.

The club’s men’s senior team will play twice in January as they gear up for the beginning of the First Division campaign on Friday, 16 February.

FAI Cup champions St Patrick’s Athletic will travel to Lissywollen on Saturday, 13 January (kick-off 3pm) while Shelbourne will travel to the Midlands on Saturday, 27 January to face the Town (kick-off 6pm).

Athlone will also face Maynooth University Town in the Leinster Senior Cup in between the two friendly games.
