Athlone Town sign Kerry Brown

Athlone Town have announced the signing of Kerryanne Brown ahead of the new Women’s Premier Division season.

The 20 year old joins the FAI Cup winners after several years in the Northern Irish Football League with Sion Swifts – she played over 70 times and scored 24 times with Swifts.

“It’s great to have Kerry join our team, and she is exactly the type of player and person I want at our club. She is an exciting prospect for Irish football and I’m looking forward to getting to work with her and the squad in the coming weeks,” manager Ciaran Kilduff said, speaking to the club’s website.

Brown has been capped at international level with the Republic of Ireland up to under 17 level.
