Cork City snap up goalkeeper Bradley Wade

Cork City have secured the services of goalkeeper Bradley Wade from English non-league outfit Guiseley - subject to a successful medical and international clearance.

The goalkeeper, 23, was on course to sign for St Patrick’s Athletic last season but a deal fell through at the last minute.

Although, Wade will now get his chance to shine at League of Ireland level in 2024.

“I am very pleased to be joining Cork City in January and really looking forward to getting over to Cork,” Wade said.

“I have had some really good conversations with the manager and I think this will be a really good opportunity for me.”

And City boss Tim Clancy added: “Brad was on my radar when I was at St Pat’s and we wanted to bring him in there but something fell through on the deal.

“He was a very good young goalkeeper when I looked at him 12 months ago and he has played games and gained experience since then.

“We are delighted to be bringing him into the club.”
