Monday night’s match in Brussels between Belgium and Sweden was abandoned at half-time following a shooting incident in the Belgian capital.

UEFA confirmed that:

‘following a suspected terrorist attack in Brussels this evening, it has been decided, after consultation with the two teams and the local police authorities, that the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying match between Belgium and Sweden is abandoned.’

Two Swedish nationals were shot dead in the city centre earlier in the evening.

The match had been level at the break with Romelu Lukaku’s penalty cancelling out Viktor Gyokeres’ 15th minute goal.
