Cheltenham Town have secured the signature of Australian youth international, Cam Peupion, on a season-long loan from Premier League side, Brighton and Hove Albion. This marks the Robins' tenth acquisition of the summer.

Peupion, a native of Sydney, set his early footballing roots at Sydney FC, featuring for the A-League club's youth team.

His promising performances garnered attention, leading to a switch to England in 2020 as he joined the youth ranks at Brighton.

Last season saw the 20-year-old midfielder make notable strides with the Seagulls.

He made his impactful debut in a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory against Forest Green Rovers, where he assisted Evan Ferguson.

The pinnacle of his time at Brighton was his Premier League debut in a game against Newcastle United.

Peupion’s record at Premier League 2 saw him net eight goals and five assists to his name. A hat-trick against giants Manchester City stands out among his achievements.

The attacking midfielder has already integrated with his new squad, having trained ahead of Cheltenham's upcoming match against Barnsley at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.

Sharing his enthusiasm, Peupion told the CTFC media, "I'm really excited, I just want to get stuck in now."

Expressing his intent to make an impact, he added, "I'm a creative player and I like to try and make things happen. I want to score goals, get assists, try and help the team that way."
