The draw for the Women's FAI Cup quarter-finals was made on Tuesday with holders Shelbourne, who received a bye in the first round, drawn against DLR Waves.

Waves earned their place in this round following a penalty shoot-out win over Wexford Youths after their match finished 3-3 after 120 minutes.

Last year's beaten finalists Athlone Town will face Peamount United after the Midlanders defeated Galway United on penalties while the Peas won in Limerick 3-2 against Treaty United.

Having defeated Cabinteely 3-0, Bohs will take on Sligo Rovers who racked up an 11-0 win over Bonagee United in the first round.

The final quarter-final tie sees Shamrock Rovers make the trip from Tallaght to Turner’s Cross to take on Cork City. The Hoops defeated non-league Killester Donnycarney 8-0 in the last round with Ireland international Abbie Larkin scoring four.

The Leesiders had their own high scoring win in the last round with a 5-0 victory over Terenure Rangers.

The quarter-finals will be played on the week ending Sunday September 17.
