September date set for Leinster Senior Cup final between Bohemians and Usher Celtic

League of Ireland Premier Division outfit Bohemians will host Usher Celtic in the Leinster Senior Cup final next month.

The Leinster FA have revealed that the fixture will take place at Dalymount Park on September 18.

Kick-off will be at 7.45pm.

Declan Devine’s men will be seeking to lift the trophy for the first time since 2016 when they beat Wexford Youths 4-0 in the final.

Meanwhile, this will be Usher Celtic’s first appearance in a decider – and it is the first time a junior club has reached the final since 2012 when St Pat’s CY played Shamrock Rovers. They lost that game 1-0 at Tallaght Stadium.

Wayside Celtic were the last junior club to win it however, defeating Athlone Town 2-1 in 1999.

On their route to the final, Bohs have seen off North End United (5-1), Crumlin United (1-0) and Shelbourne (4-3).

Meanwhile, Usher Celtic have reached the decider following wins over VEC (7-0), Sherriff YC (5-1), Gorey Rangers (4-2), Malahide United (3-2), Drogheda United (4-2) and Bray Wanderers (4-1).
