The Football Association of Ireland have announced that the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup match between Cork City and Waterford scheduled for this evening has been postponed.

The decision comes in light of the Orange Weather Warning issued by Met Eireann.

The FAI has stated that the fixture will now take place on Monday, August 21, at 7.45pm at the same venue.

Turner’s Cross stadium, the planned venue for the match, underwent two pitch inspections, after which it was determined that the pitch conditions were not suitable for play.

Ticket holders need not worry as all tickets purchased for the original fixture will remain valid for the rescheduled match.

For any further queries or information regarding the postponement, ticket holders are advised to contact the point of sale where they made their purchase.
