Swansea City has strengthened their defensive lineup with the acquisition of 21-year-old Nathan Tjoe-A-On.

The signing, confirmed for an undisclosed fee, remains subject to international clearance and visa approval.

Emerging from the Dutch club Excelsior, Tjoe-A-On has committed to a three-year deal with the Swans, which offers the option of an extended stay for another year, potentially keeping him at the club until summer 2027. Fans can expect to see him donning the number 21 shirt at SA1.

The Rotterdam-born defender's addition to Michael Duff’s side brings a left-footed dynamic to the team.

Having honed his skills in Excelsior's youth system, Tjoe-A-On stepped into the senior scene in 2019.

His contributions in the 2021-22 season played a role in lifting the club to a higher division, culminating in a play-off final.

The subsequent season saw him feature in 29 matches in the Dutch top-flight, with his performances earning him the young player of the month accolade in September 2022.
