Carl Starfelt is set to continue his football journey with RC Celta, having officially joined the Spanish side from Scottish giants, Celtic.

The Stockholm-born central defender has penned a four-season contract with the La Liga team, binding him to the club until 2027.

Starfelt's transition to RC Celta comes after two prolific seasons with Celtic, where he quickly established himself as a member of the Glasgow team's defense.

In his tenure with the Hoops, the Swedish stalwart played 87 matches, clocking in 7,501 minutes, and also found the net three times.

He dominated defensive charts last season, leading in categories like interceptions and accurate ball clearances. Additionally, he clocked a 70% win rate in aerial duels.

After joining Celtic in the summer of 2021 from Rubin Kazan, Starfelt tasted significant domestic success. He played a role in securing the Scottish League and League Cup titles in 2022 and went on to add the Scottish Cup to his laurels in the 2022/23 season.
