Cork City has signed attacking player Jaze Kabia.

Kabia's football journey began with Cobh Ramblers' U17 side in 2017 before progressing into the senior squad.

His talents were then recognized by Shelbourne, where he spent two years before moving to Scottish club Livingston in January 2021.

After a year, Kabia was loaned to Falkirk for the rest of the 2021/22 season, and was later loaned to Scottish League One club Queen of the South until the end of the current season.

After signing the deal with Cork City FC, Kabia expressed his excitement about rejoining the Irish football scene, stating, “It’s great to get it over the line, and it’s good to be home also."

"I’m looking forward to getting going! I’d know a few of the boys already, and they’ve been great. They’ve helped me settle in, and get to know the rest of the squad."

The club’s Sporting Director, Liam Buckley, is optimistic about the impact Kabia can have on the team.

He commented, "We are delighted to have Jaze on board for the rest of the season. He has come in to training and done well, so we are pleased to get the deal done."

"He is a forward player and will give us options in an attacking sense. He’s also a Cork lad and is really keen to play for the club, so we are looking forward to working with him.”
