19-year-old West Ham United midfielder, Freddie Potts, has signed a fresh three-year contract with the club, running until the summer of 2026.

A graduate of the Academy of Football, Potts has climbed the ranks from a young age, joining the club at just six years old.

His first professional contract was inked in June 2021, with his first-team debut following suit in the UEFA Europa League later that same year.

Potts made eight appearances as part of manager David Moyes' matchday squad in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, which West Ham went on to win.

The young talent has also participated in important matches such as the final against ACF Fiorentina, the group-stage victory at FCSB, and the round of 16 second-leg triumph over AEK Larnaca.

Speaking about his contract renewal while on the club's pre-season tour to Perth, Australia, Potts voiced his enthusiasm and ambition.

“It’s a really good feeling to sign a new three-year contract. It’s another positive step forward for me in my career," he commented.

Potts is also hopeful about the prospect of playing against his brother Dan, who won promotion to the Premier League with Luton Town in May.

“I think it would be a dream come true...to play against each other in the Premier League would be great!” Potts shared.
