Gateshead secure loan signing of Norwich City goalkeeper

Gateshead have announced the signing of Norwich City goalkeeper Archie Mair on a season long loan.
“I want to be a number one, that’s the main thing about being here,” the goalkeeper said, speaking to the club’s website.
“I want to play week in, week out, help lead the team and be that goalkeeper that they look back towards and have a bit of faith in.
“Having that pressure and weight on my shoulders to do that, I’m really looking forward to it.”
The 22 year old spent last season with National League Play Off winners Notts County and saved two penalties in the shoot out at Wembley Stadium which saw the Magpies promoted back to the Football League.
