Portsmouth have announced the signing of Australian striker Kusini Yengi from Western City Wanderers.

The forward signs for Pompey on a two year deal for an undisclosed fee – the club also have an option for an additional 12 months add on.

“He’s a really quick, powerful and physical centre-forward, who can run in behind and is also very technical,” Blues manager John Mousinho said, speaking to the club’s website.

“We’ve done extensive work over the past few months and looking at what the opportunities were in the A-League.

“Kusini was one who really stood out. He’s an exciting prospect and we’re delighted to bring him to the club.

“On his day he’s got a bit of everything and we want to see him perform consistently. If he does that, then we believe he can be successful over here.”

The 24 year old began his senior career with Adelaide United before moving to Western City Wanderers in 2022 where he scored four goals in 18 apperances.
