Watch: Bohemians breeze past North End United in the Leinster Senior Cup

Bohemians breezed past the challenge of North End United in the Leinster Senior Cup to seal their place in the quarter-final of the competition.

Declan Devine’s men claimed a comprehensive 5-1 win against their Wexford League opponents.

Jordan Flores gave the Gypsies a first-half lead after just ten minutes of the game.

But North End equalised on the half hour mark as Alan Rhodes netted for the hosts.

After the break, Bohs took control to eventually sail through into the last-eight of the competition.

Dean Williams gave them a 2-1 lead, before he doubled his tally shortly after to make it 3-1.

10-man North End were further punished late on as Grant Horton and Ryan Burke struck for Bohs to make it 5-1.

They will now face the winners of the tie between Longford Town and Crumlin United in the next round. Longford Town's tie against Crumlin is due to take place on February 21st.

Meanwhile, Malahide United were dumped out of the completion on Friday night by Usher Celtic.

Stephen Doyle netted the winner for Usher Celtic in extra-time, after the game ended 2-2 in normal time.

Ryan Rooney and Ciaran McGahon gave Malahide a 2-0 lead, but they were pegged back in the second-half after goals from Calvin Douglas and Josh McMahon.

And Doyle then scored to seal Usher’s place in the last-eight.

They will now face the winners of the tie between Drogheda United and Athlone Town.
