Dundalk sign former St Mirren striker Cameron Elliott

Dundalk manager Stephen O’ Donnell has announced the latest new player to sign for the club ahead of the 2023 season with striker Cameron Elliott committing to the club.

Elliott is a striker who has joined from Scottish Lowland League side East Kilbride. Formerly with St Mirren as a youth player, he has gotten his career back on track and he already  has 15 goals in just 21 appearances this season for the Kilby.

Speaking to the club’s website he stated: “It’s a great opportunity for me. I’m very grateful for the chance to play for Dundalk and the success the club has had over the past ten years was a massive factor in me signing.

“The aim is to continue where I left off at East Kilbride. Obviously it’s a different level but it’s something I am really looking forward to.”

O’Donnell also spoke on the signing: “There’s good scope for him to kick on and develop and he’s the right profile that we like. I think he’ll go from strength to strength when he gets in and starts to work with us each day.”

The club start their season when they host UCD on Friday, 17 February.
