Dundalk have announced the signing of Conor Malley and Hayden Muller ahead of the 2023 League of Ireland season. The pair join the Lilywhites on multi-year deals.

Malley arrives at Oriel Park after the expiration of his contract with Rochdale this month. The midfielder is a product of the Middlesborough Academy making his senior debut for the club during the 2020-21 Championship season.

“We had a look around for a couple of days and the facilities are fantastic,” said Malley. “It seems to be a really welcoming place. The lads were really friendly and very good with me and my family so I’m really looking forward to getting started now,” Malley said, speaking to the club’s media team.

“At my age, whatever move I made was going to be a big decision but after hearing what Stephen said and having a look around the club and the town, I feel like this could be a really good fit.

“I like to play in a team that keeps possession and gets the best aspects of my game out and if I’m wearing the Dundalk shirt, I’ll be giving 100% and doing my very best to keep the fans happy.”

Muller joins Dundalk from English Championship side Millwall, the 20 year old is a product of their academy and he also spent a loan spell with St Johnstone in Scotland.

“I can’t wait to get started,” the midfielder said, speaking to the club’s website.

“I had a look around and got a feel for the place and the lads have been very welcoming.

“I know Alfie Lewis, and Louie Annesley is also from London so it’s always good to have people like that around to help you settle in a lot quicker.”

Dundalk begin their season at home against UCD on Friday, 17 February (kick-off 7.45pm).
