Quaid, who turns 23 next week, played at Under 17 and Under 19 levels for Limerick FC Academy before making his senior debut for Limerick in 2019.

Quaid is making the move to Kerry from Limerick’s Regional United where he has played since 2020.

Speaking to the Kerry website about his move, Quaid said: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign for Kerry.

“It’s class to be a part of such a good club, with a great atmosphere around it. The boys and the management team have been fantastic! I can’t wait for the season ahead.”

It has been a busy few days for first team manager, Billy Dennehy and Quaid will join Matt Keane, Seán McGrath, Seán Kennedy and goalkeeper Trpimir Vrljicak who have signed for the upcoming season.

Speaking about the signing of Quaid from Regional United, Dennehy said: “Andy is another player who has shown a great appetite to represent Kerry Football Club.

“He has trained hard with us over the last number of weeks and we are delighted to give him this opportunity. I look forward to seeing Andy develop more and more in the weeks and months ahead.”

The club have also announced that Nathan Gleeson and Junior Ankomah who have come through the Kerry FC Academy teams will make the move to the senior squad.
