Longford Town seal signings of Darragh Lynch and Stephen Meaney

Longford Town boss Stephen Henderson has unveiled two new arrivals for the club ahead of the 2023 season.

The Red and Black snapped up the services of forward pair Darragh Lynch and Stephen Meaney ahead of the new campaign.

Striker Lynch is a graduate of the Bray Wanderers academy.

The 19-year-old became a regular in the squad over a near three-year stint – but his progress was often halted by injuries.

He also netted 12 times for the Seagulls under both Gary Cronin and Pat Devlin.

Meaney has also joined the club, and is most recently of Longford’s local rivals Athlone Town.

During his most recent season at the Athlone Town Stadium, Meaney scored six times in 20 appearances.

He previously played with Drogheda United, Bohemians and Shelbourne.

Longford begin their season with a home tie with Athlone on the 18th of February.
