Launch of new app, updated site and revamped podcast

extratime.com is delighted to announce the launch of its new website. Established in 2008, this is the site’s fourth major refresh, the last coming in 2016.

What’s New?

The site has a completely new look and feel, with improved and simplified navigation providing you with easy access to vast array of content extratime.com has to offer, including over 29,000 news stories, 38,000 fixtures and 35,000 players!

Our competitions area provides up-to-date fixtures and tables for League of Ireland, Women’s National League, all the underage leagues as well as all domestic and international competitions.

Our new live updates area has been given a complete overhaul with all scorers and scores auto-updating as they happen and a new visual line-up option.

With over 100,000 images taken by our excellent team of photographers over the last 14 years, we have incorporated this amazing visual history throughout the new website.

We have made it much easier to find players and teams and provided access to all the stats we have available for both.

We have also launched a new free app (currently on Android only via the Play Store) which will allow you to experience the full array of functionality the website has to offer. It also has an new look and feel and improved navigation.

New Site, New Podcast

We can also announce that starting Tuesday 16th August we will be launching a brand new extratime.com podcast with our new presenter Luke Jordan. Since April 2021, Luke has been the presenter of the “Irish Football Weekly” podcast and we are absolutely delighted to welcome him into the extratime.com team.

The podcast will be available on all the usual podcast providers and we look forward to this new chapter for the extratime.com podcast.

A League of Ireland History

Our long running history project is still in progress as we attempt to catalogue to entire history of the domestic game in Ireland. All the data we have to date is available on the website, but as every day passes, we are updating line-ups, goal scorers and stats from 1921 up until today. If you would like to provide us with data to fill any gaps, you can email us on extratimelive@gmail.com

Extratime.com

As well as all the new functionality, we continue to provide accurate, innovative and timely news, photography and statistics on the Irish domestic senior and underage leagues as well as European and international fixtures.

As a volunteer service, we rely on your support. If you like what we do, you can become an extratime.com Patron.
