Damien Duff suffered a loss in his first game as Shelbourne boss when his side were defeated 3-0 by Dublin rivals St Patrick’s Athletic at Tolka Park on Friday night.

It was also Tim Clancy’s first night at the helm of the Saints and he will have been pleased to see Darragh Burns, Mark Doyle and Jason McClelland score to claim their first three points of the season.
