Blow for Stephen Kenny's Ireland as Seamus Coleman ruled out of World Cup Qualifier against Serbia

Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny has been dealt a blow in his preparations for the upcoming World Cup Qualifier at home to Serbia, with Seamus Coleman ruled out.

Coleman’s withdrawal was confirmed on Sunday evening, with Cyrus Christie taking his place in the squad.

The Boys in Green have been forced to draft a number of fresh faces into the squad during this international window.

Liam Scales, Alan Browne and Callum Robinson have all been late inclusions to the squad.

Christie linked up with the Boys in Green on Sunday evening ahead of their final training session ahead of Tuesday’s tie against Serbia.

Coleman has been forced to withdraw after picking up an injury in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan.
