LONGFORD TOWN

Longford Town welcome Bohemians to Bishopsgate on Saturday evening as the side look for their first win in ten games (kick-off 6pm).

De Town have not won since their opening day 1-0 win over Derry City although they are unbeaten in their last two games after hard fought draws against Dundalk and the Candystripes.

Daire Doyle’s charges are unlucky not to be higher up the table after late goals thwarted their attempts to get wins in their previous two outings.

The hosts have a number of injury problems to contend with as Aaron Dobbs, Conor Davis and Sam Verdon are doubts.

Aaron McNally, Callum Warfield, Aaron McCabe and former Bohemians full back, Paddy Kirk are unavailable for this  game.

BOHEMIANS

The Gypsies finally broke their duck at home after a 4-0 hammering over Finn Harps at Dalymount Park and will travel to the midlands looking for back-to-back wins.

Keith Long’s side will be looking to right the wrongs of their corresponding fixture against Longford after throwing away a two-goal lead as Town salvaged a 2-2 draw in March.

Keith Long is aware of the challenge Longford Town pose for his Bohs side this weekend.

“All the games are really tough,” he said, speaking to extratime.com earlier this week.

“We threw away a two-goal lead the last time here against Longford and to be fair to Longford they didn’t give up.

“They deserved to come away with something that day, but we can’t look back.

“We can only look forward and go into next week with confidence and new sense of optimism because the first round of games wasn’t what we wanted and expected. Hopefully we can move forward.”

Stephen Mallon is still sidelined with a metatarsal injury which will keep him out for a number of weeks yet.
