First Division Bray Wanderers promote Cian Maher and Glen Hollywood to first-team squad for 2021

First Division promotion hopefuls Bray Wanderers have confirmed that both Cian Maher and Glen Hollywood will be involved with the club’s first-team squad for 2021.

Both Maher and Hollywood were members of the Seagulls’ under-19 set-up in 2020 while also being sporadically named in the Bray Wanderers matchday squad in the First Division.

The two young players will now join forces fully with Gary Cronin’s first-team squad – a squad that has recently been bolstered by the loan signing of Brandon Kavanagh from Shamrock Rovers.

Kavanagh joins Bray after enjoying a fruitful year with Shamrock Rovers II in the 2020 First Division, picking up a place in the PFAI First Division Team of the Year for his efforts.

19-year-old Maher played with the Bray under-17s in 2017 and 2018 seasons and also also lined out for the under-19s in the 2018 season.

He was drafted into the Bray Wanderers first team panel in August 2018 and has made four senior league appearances for the club since then.

Hollywood, a brother of former Longford Town and Drogheda United midfielder Jamie, also re-signs after rising through the ranks at the Carlisle Grounds.

The 19-year-old has made just the one senior league appearance for Bray – and that was against Shamrock Rovers in the 2018 Premier Division as a late substitute.
