Former Ireland u21 Rory Hale joins Cliftonville

Former Republic of Ireland under-21 international Rory Hale has joined Cliftonville after leaving Crusaders this evening.

The former Derry City and Galway United star joins the Reds – having previously played for the club as a schoolboy, leaving in 2015.

The 24-year-old was also previously of Aston Villa before making the return home shortly after.

Thanks Crusaders FC for the last few years, some great memories,” Hale said on Twitter this evening.

“Thanks to the fans for the support from day 1. I wish everyone at the club the best of luck in the future.”

He added: “Absolutely delighted to sign for Cliftonville. Thanks for all the welcome & good luck messages. I can’t wait to get started.”
