Bohemians have signed Shamrock Rovers striker Thomas Oluwa.

“Thomas is an exciting young forward player who will provide us with options at the top end of the pitch," said Bohs boss Keith Long about his new acquisition.

“He is young and has a lot to prove but comes to us determined to do well.

“We feel his qualities of pace, power, energy along with the  ability to play in a number of positions can help us.”

Oluwa is the fifth departure from their 2020 league winning squad with 19-year-old striker Thomas Oluwa moving to Bohs - the Hoops have signed Danny Mandroiu who comes the other way across the Liffey.

Oluwa made four appearances with Stephen Bradley’s Premier Division team this season.

In addition he played a dozen times for the Shamrock Rovers II team in the First Division scoring four goals.

In 2019, he made his Rovers senior debut in a League Cup tie in the Carlisle Grounds and he was the club’s under-19 player of the year.

He went on to make five first team appearances with the Hoops in 2019 and scored in Rovers’ 5-1 win away to Waterford. He also came off the bench in Cyprus in the Europa League qualifier against Apollon Limassol.
