Athlone Town sign Derek Daly from Bray Wanderers

First Division Athlone Town have confirmed the signing of winger Derek Daly from Bray Wanderers.
Daly joins the Blue and Black of the Midlands after spending the last years at the Carlisle Grounds under Gary Cronin.
He linked up with the Co. Wicklow club after he had a prior two-year spell at Waterford in both 2017 and 2018.
He played underage football with Cherry Orchard before securing a move to English side Chesterfield.
In February 2017 he signed for Alan Reynolds and Pat Fenlon at Waterford where he won the Waterford Young Player of the Year and also the award for goal of the year.
He made 23 appearances and scored three goals before signing a new contract for the 2018 Premier Division season.
