Sam Todd, Adam Lennon & Donal Higgins to join UCD

UCD boss Andy Myler has confirmed that the trio of Sam Todd, Adam Lennon and Donal Higgins are to join the club ahead of the 2021 season.

Todd joins the Students from Finn Harps; Lennon makes the move from Athlone and Higgins links up with the Dubliners from Galway United. All three will join the club on scholarship.

Todd will be the most-profile arrival to the UCD Bowl having played with the Co. Donegal side in the Premier Division for two years on the spin.

Both Lennon and Higgins have experience in the First Division with their respective former clubs.

“It will be more or less the same squad as last season, but we do have a few coming in on scholarship this year,” UCD boss Myler told extratime.com.

“Sam Todd is joining from Finn Harps, Adam Lennon from Athlone and Donal Higgins from Galway are the guys that will be coming in. That’s how the group will change.

“They’re all very good players and they’ll challenge for positions in the team and that’s only a good thing. We want a squad of players that will be looking to get into the squad every week.”

He added: “They’re coming from a really good standard and they’re young guys. Sam obviously would have played a few more games than the other few guys who are relatively young.

“They have experience and know what it’s about so we’re hoping they get what the club is about, what we’re about and settle in quickly.

“They’re not just coming out of schoolboy football as they’ve all had that bit of exposure.”
