Italian side Atalanta secured a stunning 2-0 win away from home to defeat six-time European Champions Liverpool at Anfield this evening.

Both Josip Ilicic and Robin Gosens netted in an incredible four minute second-half spell for the Serie A side who secured a major scalp.

The result means that Liverpool must now wait to seal their passage into the knockout stages when in their final two group games.

Belgian superstar Eden Hazard scored from the spot in Real Madrid’s comfortable two-nil win over Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Achraf Hakimi turned the ball into his own net in the second-half to secure all three points for Los Blancos in Milan.

Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid were held to a scoreless draw at home to Lokomotiv Moscow – while reigning European Champions Bayern Munich won 3-1 at home to Red Bull Salzburg.

Borussia Moenchengladbach produced a convincing display to see off Shakhtar Donetsk by four goals to nil at home.

Dutch giants Ajax defeated Danish side FC Midtjylland by three goals to one in Amsterdam, while Porto defeated Marseille 2-0 away from home.

Premier League Manchester City also won their group game with a 1-0 win away to Olympiakos – sealing their passage to the knockout stages.
