Premier Division Drogheda re-sign Brandon Bermingham, James Clarke and Ryan O'Shea

Premier Division outfit Drogheda United have confirmed that the trio of Brandon Bermingham, James Clarke and Ryan O’Shea have re-signed for the club.

Bermingham re-signs after impressing in his first year of senior League of Ireland football, while both Clarke and O’Shea commit to another year at United Park after impressing with the club’s under-19s.

Teenager Bermingham joined Drogheda from Bohemians in November 2019 after scoring 14 times at under-19 level.

His first full season in senior football saw the forward score five goals in 17 appearances for his local side.

Also re-signing is James Clarke who joined the club from Shamrock Rovers ahead of the 2019 season.

He also played for Drogheda’s under-19 side, reaching the National League semi-final, and also made 17 first team appearances.

This season saw Clarke make a further 15 appearances for the first team in a shortened season, scoring once.

Meanwhile, O’Shea has also signed a new deal for the club having played for the club at both under-17 and under-19 level in two different spells.

He first played for Drogheda’s under-17 side in 2016 and 2017 before re-joining the club at under-19 level in 2019 after a spell with St. Patrick’s Athletic.
