Zlatan Ibrahimovic tests positive for Covid-19

Serie A giants AC Milan have confirmed that forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Swedish striker was tested prior to this evening’s game between AC Milan and Bodo/Glimt – and has tested positive as a result.

The former Barcelona and Manchester United forward scored in AC Milan’s two-nil win over Shamrock Rovers in the last round of the Europa League qualifiers last week.

A statement from AC Milan read: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for Covid-19 following a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight's game against Bodo/Glimt.

“The Club has informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home. All other team members and staff have tested negative.”
