Ireland under-19 international Ryan Cassidy signs new two-year deal with Premier League Watford

Republic of Ireland under-19 international Ryan Cassidy has signed a new two-year deal with Premier League Watford.

The 19-year-old Dubliner is a product of the St Kevin’s Boys schoolboy system and joined the Hornets in July 2017.

After his first-year at the club, the forward signed on professional terms with the club in 2018, with that deal expiring last month.

However, the forward was offered a new contract by the club and he recently revealed that he has signed up for another two years at Vicarage Road.

Cassidy has made three competitive appearances for the Republic of Ireland’s under-19s, scoring once.

His solitary goal came in the 13-0 demolition of Gibraltar in November 2019. The Castleknock native has also played against Austria and Switzerland for the Irish under-19s last year.

Watford currently occupy 17th position in the Premier League table, with two games left to play – having sacked their manager Nigel Pearson on Sunday.
