Republic of Ireland underage international Josh Giurgi has signed a new contract with relegated Premier League side Norwich City.

The Ireland under-18 international Josh Giurgi is one of a number of Norwich City Academy players to have signed professional contracts with the club for the upcoming 2020-21 season.

The Dubliner is being rewarded for a promising 19/20 season with the Canaries which saw him net three times in ten appearances for the under-18s and make his under-23 debut against West Ham in February.

The 18-year-old joined the Carrow Road outfit from Leixlip United in 2018 and his new deal will see him stay in East Anglia until June 2021.

Norwich saw their Premier League fate eventually sealed and were relegated after a resounding four-nil defeat against West Ham last week.

Giurgi remains at the club along with his fellow Irish teammates Adam Idah, Andrew Omobamidele and former Drogheda United man William Hondermarck.
