Women’s National League side DLR Waves have confirmed the signing of forward Avril Brierley.
Brierley re-joins the Waves with her last appearance coming in 2018 for the Dublin southside outfit.
The 23-year-old returned home following a stint in Canada earlier this year.
The Ballinteer native competed in the 2014/15 Champions League with Raheny United, reaching the last 32 before going out to Bristol Academy.
She also won the 2014 FAI Cup and 2015 WNL Cup in her first season at the club.
Ahead of the 2015/16 season, Raheny United merged with Shelbourne and formed Shelbourne Ladies FC, with Avril signing on for the newly-formed club.
The former Irish underage women’s international has played at under-15 and under-17 level for the Girls in Green.
She now links up with Graham Kelly’s side who are back training ahead of the beginning of their Women’s National League campaign.
